5 Star Milestone Test

To register for a test please sign up at the sound table when arriving to the contest site. Test are free of charge and you may only take one test per day starting at test #1. Each test must be completed with absolute perfection. A single error will result in a non-pass.

1 Star Milestone

Execute the following as instructed by the Evaluator:

1. Stand at attention with perfect military bearing.

2. Whistle up

3. Execute a vocal command of attention with a clear commanding cadence.

4. Execute a pike position and whistle command with a clear crisp cadence.

5. Execute a salute position with clean angles and confident bearing

2 Star Milestone

Execute the following as instructed by the Evaluator:

1. March and beat time for 32 counts to a metronome at a tempo of 105 to 125 bpm. Drum major must maintain perfect military bearing, proper beating of time technique, consistent tempo, and show good marching technique.

3 Stars Milestone

Execute the following as instructed by the Evaluator:

1. Prop Spin (Both directions)

2. Roundhouse (All four) with proper style of free hand (moving and static)

3. Thumb rolls (2x, both hands)

4. Finger rolls (both hands, 3 fingers)

5. Halt/Stop (Any plane, both directions)

6. Behind-the-back (Flat or Duck tail, both directions)

4 Stars Milestone

Execute the following as instructed by the Evaluator:

1. Butterfly with good extension & flow (both directions)

2. Rifle tosses (3x, each hand)

3. Hand rolls (Both directions on each hand)

4. Finger rolls (Both hands, 6 fingers)

5. Wrist Flourishes (All 4, both hands)

6. Half, Single, and 1.5 Rev tosses (both directions)
